Tyco Opens New Firefighting Foam Facility near Bergamo Italy

Neuhausen, Switzerland16, June 2016This month, Tyco Fire Protection Products opened a new US$ 10-million firefighting foam agent manufacturing facility near Bergamo, Italy.  The new larger center relocated FPP’s operations from its former site a few kilometers away sized to handle the future demand for synthetic & protein based firefighting foams.  With about 1000 m2 of manufacturing space, the site also includes a storage tank farm, laboratory and utilities plant, warehouse, and offices, for a total footprint of  8600 m2.  The site currently employs 27 full and part time team members. 
 
Colleen Repplier, President was on hand for the opening celebrations held on June 6th.  "It's a pleasure to be here to open this new site.  This center will be the premier production plant for firefighting foams serving customers across EMEA and APAC."  The Bergamo site produces around 7000 metric tons of firefighting foam each year, sold under the SABO FOAM, SKUM, CHEMGUARD, and ANSUL brands.
